Wendy Michelle Donelson Whiteaker

Wendy Donelson, 47, passed away on September 1, 2017 at her residence. She
was born March 4, 1970 in White County to James (J.C) and Betty Jean Seabolt
Donelson. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons, James and Jake
Hatfield of Sparta, one brother, Jr. (Darlene) Donelson of Sparta, two sisters,
Wilma (Bill) Yott of Sparta, Karen (Tim) Young of Smithville and several nephews
and nieces including special nephew and friend Derek Yott.

Wendy was a graduate of Tennessee Tech University with a Bachelor’s degree in
Family and Consumer Services. She was employed as an FCS agent at the UT
Extension office in Sparta TN. Wendy was born to be an extension agent. Raised
on a farm, she gained extensive knowledge from her dad, mom and the many
farmers and families she knew. In her teens, she was involved in many 4-H
programs. With her warm smile and engaging personality, she was loved by so
many as a teacher, speaker and friend.

As a breast cancer survivor in 2013, she was an advocate for Breast cancer
awareness, treatment and cure. Donations in her honor can be made to the
University of Tennessee Breast Cancer Research Department in Knoxville, TN.

A Memorial Gathering for family and close friends will be held from 5pm until 7pm on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home.
