February 28, 1985 - February 17, 2022
Services for Alex will be held at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 11 AM - 1 PM And the funeral at 1 PM with Michael Conley officiating, burial to follow at Elrod Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Charlie Goines, Jimmy Howell, Royce Smith, Chipper Conley, Michael and Stephen Conley.
Alex was a loving son, grandson, and brother. He was always smiling and loved nothing better than trying to rile someone up and then stand back and laugh. He especially loved his brother, Brandon. He loved to fish, which is a passion he shared with his father, uncle, and grandmother.
Alex was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Barney Davis and Kenneth Goines of Sparta, as well as David Sparks of Cookeville. Grandparents Cecil and Maude Cole, Casto and Mary Etta Goines all of Sparta. As well as Waymond and Irene Sparts, and Harley and Elzo Gambrell.
Those left grieving include; Mother, Deborah (Chuck) Biggs of Sparta, TN
Father, James (Sue Ann) Sparks of Cookeville
Grandmothers, Betty Davis who he was especially close to and Jill Sparks of Cookeville
Brother, Brandon Sparks (Brynda) of Nashville who will forever grieve his loss. Special great aunt and uncle, Ruth Baker and Cordell Cole loved and supported Alex.
The family wishes to encourage anyone struggling with addiction to reach out for help. Family members of those struggling should continue to love and hold on tight to that person. Never enable but don’t ever turn your back on that person. All of Alex’s family was there for Alex, but sometimes that just isn’t enough. Alex was the sunshine of our family and now the world is just a little darker at his loss.
