Alfred was a student of mine in the Master’s program at GWU. He was so kind and gentle, and so smart and humble! He was a joy to teach. I’m so glad I got to know him and sorry I didn’t have more time to get to know him better. He will be very fondly remembered and deeply missed.

I knew Alfred from his time at KIPP DC this school year. He shared an office next to mine, and I saw him daily but unfortunately didn't work with him closely. He was very friendly both with staff and students and always punctual each day. I wish that I had gotten to know him better because it wasn't until I read his obituary that I learned he was born in my hometown. My sympathies to his family and friends for such a loss. - Ms. Sheridan, School Psychologist

I was saddened to hear about Alfred's passing. He was one of my students at George Washington University. I first met Alfred first when he was taking basic courses in preparation for his Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. Last Spring he was one of 12 students traveling in China to learn more about his chosen profession in other parts of the world. It was then that I learned about Alfred's time in Japan and a bit more about his travels. He was an adventurous and capable young man who did a great job in all that was asked of him during our trip. I am so sorry to hear about his passing - my condolences to his family and friends.
