Obituary for Alma Rose Norton Johnson
Alma Rose Norton Johnson, age 94 of Sparta, Tennessee passed to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Life Care Center of Sparta.
She was born December 20, 1928 in Bellevue, Michigan to the late Paul L. Norton and Clara Belle Ward Norton.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who loved everyone, and she usually told you she loved you each time she talked to you. She was a special Christian lady who loved God and always had a smile and a hug for everyone. She was a member of Shiloh Church of God for many years where she taught children's Sunday school. She enjoyed reading, quilting, crocheting, and cooking. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Verble Johnson Sr., 5 brothers, 2 sisters, son-in-law, Dwight Winnett, an infant child, Clara Mae Johnson, and her aunt, Alma Holloway, who raised her after her mother passed away at the age of 5.

Special Sister-in-Law- Norma Norton of AL
Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends also survive.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Craig Mahler and Corey Price officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson's Chapel Cemetery in Dekalb County, TN. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers to serve are David Johnson, Michael Flatt, Rick Jones, Jackie Stafford, Randall Mahler, Chris Abston, and Michael Teeples.
Honorary Pallbearer to serve is Anthony Norton.
