Obituary for Anthony Earl Johnson
Anthony Earl Johnson, 63 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born Tuesday, February 5, 1957 in Sparta, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Earl Johnson and Katie Humphrey Johnson Young. He loved fishing, playing cards, and watching westerns on TV.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Johnson, grandparents, Willie and Lovena Humphrey and Herman and Eller Johnson, in-laws, George and Ann Matz, and brother-in-law, Danny Matz.
Survivors include:
Wife of 39 Years- Pam Johnson of Sparta, TN
Sons- Adam Johnson of Sparta, TN and Daniel Johnson (Haylee) of Sparta, TN
Granddaughter- Rylee Johnson of Sparta, TN
Brother- Michael Johnson (Teresa) of Walling, TN
Sister- Denise Daniels (Kevin) of Sparta, TN
Mother- Katie Johnson Young (Lester) of Sparta, TN
Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws also survive.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Jeff Howard and Doug Benningfield officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will welcome friends from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers to serve: Tim Hauk, Ben Johnson, Barry Mabe, Calvin Mabe, Wade Humphrey, and Dusty Fleming.
Honorary Pallbearers to serve: David Adcock, Steve Bain, Ricky Lack, and Roy Lee Humphrey
