Arnold "Ray" Teeples, age 88 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Life Care Center of Sparta surrounded by his family.

Ray was born January 24, 1934 in Sparta, TN. He was the third child born of ten children to Herman Clifford and Mattie Belle Prater Teeples.

Ray loved to fish, rabbit hunt and go on four wheeler rides. He enjoyed working and tinkering on gasoline motors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior Teeples and Beecher Teeples; two sisters, Lula Yates and Erma West; two sons, Kenneth Levon Teeples and Stoney Ray Teeples; and the mother of his children, Dorothy.

Survivors include:

Children- Gerald Lynn Teeples, Max Arnold Teeples, Brenda Sue Bearden and Christy Delane Teague

Siblings- Bobby Gene Teeples, Joel Teeples (Dianna), Wanda Brown (Buck), Barbara Selby and Polly Alverson.

Several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and other relatives also survive.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Mt. Gilead Cemetery with Joel Teeples officiating.

Pallbearers to serve- Joel Teeples, Gerald Teeples, Max Teeples, Bobby Dewayne Teeples, and Tracy Jones.
