Obituary for Benny Caleb Sewell
Benny Caleb Sewell, age 80 of Sparta, Tennessee passed from this life Thursday, January 19, 2023, at his home. He was born April 10, 1942, in Willow Grove, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Willie and Melba Sewell.
In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Timothy Plant and his brother-in-law, Jim Hutson.
Surviving family members include:
His wife of thirty-five years- Judith Sewell of Sparta, TN
Daughters- Rene McGuire (Shane), Terri Plant, and Tanya Tillis (Rick)
Step-sons- Doug Elam (Vicki), and Edward Elam (Teresa)
Five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, nine step great-grandchildren.
Sisters- Anna Hutson, and Shirley Groves (Wayne)
Brother- Roy Sewell (Brenda).
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM at North Sparta Church of God Saturday, January 21, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contibutions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of Mr. Benny Sewell.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
