Obituary for Billie Ann Thacker
Billie Ann Hitt Thacker, age 88 of Quebeck, Tennessee passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022, at Life Care Center of Sparta.
Billie was born in Nashville, TN to Billy and Maxine Galbreath Hitt. She attended Forest Hills Elementary and then graduated Goodlettsville Elementary and Goodlettsville High School. She then attended UT Knoxville and graduated Draughon's Business College in Nashville, TN. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Horace and Albirdie Pike Galbreath and paternal grandparents, James Wesley and Kate Peay Hitt; parents, Billy and Maxine Hitt; her husband of 62 years, Jerry L. Thacker; daughter, Lauree Thacker Himes; and son, Darrell Shane Thacker.
She is survived by son, Jerry Rand Thacker of Ladys Island, SC; brothers, Jim Hitt of Goodlettsville, TN and David Galbreath Hitt of Nashville, TN; 4 granddaughters and 8 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Chris Seifert officiating. The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Connell Memorial United Methodist Church in Goodlettsville, TN.
