Obituary for Ima Scott Pistole

Ima Scott Pistole, 98 of Choctaw, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at her home in Choctaw, Oklahoma, surrounded by her family.

Ima was born in Sparta, Tennessee to Samuel Mac Scott and Callie May Farley on September 3, 1920.

Ima married Herbert Pistole, who was a member of the US Navy. During WWII, Ima worked on aircraft with other military wives while the men were off fighting for our country. After serving twenty years as a Navy wife and moving all over the country, they retired back in Sparta. She was a homemaker and a member of The Church of Christ.

Ima was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, seven siblings, son-in-law, Kenneth Gard, and granddaughter, Pamela Johnson.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Gard; granddaughter, Wendy Boggs and her husband, Jimmy; three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Doyle Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Scott Cemetery.
