Sparta, TN.... Mrs. Catherine Springer, age 99 of Sparta, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Born Friday, December 19, 1919 in Westerville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Albert Skees and the late Minnie Bryant Skees. She was a member of St Andrew Catholic Church. Mrs Springer enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 10, 2019, from 11am until 1pm in the chapel of Oak Lawn Funeral Home with a funeral mass to follow at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 2pm on Monday.

Surviving family members include the following:
son - Bill Springer and Lucy of Kentucky
daughter - Elaine Stankiewicz and Bob of Pennsylvania
son - Leslie Springer and June of Sparta
15 grandchildren
38 great-grandchildren
19 great-great grandchildren
3 great-great-great grandchildren
sister - Virginia Raffoele of Pennsylvania

In addition to her parents, Mrs Springer was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert W. Springer; daughter, Loretta Swank; grandson, Hugh Springer.
