Obituary

Charlie Mae Cooper,93, of Sparta, TN passed away Monday, February 10, 2020 at St. Thomas Highland Hospital. She was born on December 12, 1926 to the late Charlie Black and Notie Elizabeth Medlin Cooper in White County, TN.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; sister- Elizabeth Green, Brother-in-law- Reece Green, Brother- Rascoe Cooper and sister-in-law- Anne Cooper

She is survived by; Niece- Catherine Jane Garvin of Sparta, TN
Nephew John Richard Green (Pam) of Sparta, TN
Nephew- Charles Robert Cooper (Karen) of Sparta, TN
Niece- Dianna Lorene Teeples (Joel) of Sparta, TN
Nephew- Danny Rascoe Cooper of Sparta, TN
Niece- Melinda Ruth Wilhite (Danny) of Sparta, TN
Many Great Nieces and Nephews.

Charlie Mae was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She loved tending to her flowers, knitting, crossword puzzles and putting puzzles together. Ms. Cooper was a graduate of White County High School where she played basketball. She later retired from Caney Fork Regional Library.
She loved everyone and spending time with her nieces, nephews and her family; they loved her.
A special thanks to Assisted Living staff at Life Care of Sparta, for the wonderful care provided to her.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Doug Goff officiating, burial will follow at Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 11 a.m. to the time of Service.

Serving as Pallbearers, Great-Nephews and Great-Great-Nephews: Tyler Green, Ethan Green, Dewayne Selby, Dane Selby, TJ Plunkett, Nicholas Plunkett, Danny Randolph, and Ashton Randolph.

She was a great Sunday school teacher. She loved and each child she had in her sunday school class . she made a great difference in my life . she will be greatly missed by all of the people she has touched in her life ...
