Obituary for Clifford Eugene Maynard
Clifford Eugene "Gene" Maynard of Sparta, age 61, passed away Sunday January 8, 2023 at Life Care Center of Sparta.
Gene was born March 25, 1961 in Sparta Tennessee to the late Donald Eugene Maynard and Sharlene (Boles) Maynard, He worked many years at Mallory Timers until they went out. He then went to work at Norcom up until he had his accident in 2011, which left him paralyzed from the chest down.
Survivors include:
A daughter- Chrystal Tollison
His brother and best friend- Donald Clay Maynard.
His loving sister- Melody Maynard Roberts “Dottie”
3 grandchildren, also 5 nieces and nephews, and 4 great nieces and nephews.
There are a host of many friends who also survive.
Gene always had a love for Harley’s and Rock music. He stayed very optimistic throughout his whole ordeal, knowing one day he would walk again. Today is that day!

The family has chosen to honor Gene's final wishes to be cremated. Oak Lawn Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
