D. Marie Cloyd Cartright, age 56 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center following a short illness.

She was born November 11, 1965 in Pontiac, Michigan. She was the daughter of Mary Huffaker Cloyd and the late Emerson Cloyd. She was the mother of Samantha Parker. Marie was lovingly known as "Not Momma" by her grandson, Brady Reid.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, "Nanny and Daddy Rob" Elizabeth and Robert Huffaker and "Granny and Gramps" Lizzie Mae and Casto Cloyd.

Survivors include:

Mother- Mary Cloyd of Sparta, TN

Daughter- Samantha Parker (Tristan) of Cookeville, TN

Brother- Bobby Cloyd (Lisa) of Sparta, TN

Grandson- Brady Reid of Cookeville, TN

Nephew- Jordon Cloyd (Emily)

Great-Nephew- Japheth Richmond

Great-Nieces- Emma Jae Cloyd and Rhaleigh Shae Cloyd

The family will welcome friends for visitation from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. A private family graveside service will follow. Bobby Cloyd will officiate at the graveside.
