Obituary for David Allen Stegman
David Allen Stegman, age 72 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 2, 1949 in Altona, Canada. He was the son of the late Frederick and Annie DeMars Stegman. David and Deborah were together for 18 years and married on December 3, 2012 in Kauai, HI. He was extremely patriotic. He loved his country, his family, and his friends to a fault.
Dave's career as an aerospace engineer was working for the United States Government Department of Defense. He went to work for the Office of Naval Research in 1975. He was a Program Manager in Washington, D.C. for Special Access Programs. He moved to the Pentagon with the Missile Defense Agency in 1996 and retired in 2002. After 27 years of service, he continued his service to the United States when he moved to Omaha, NE at STRATCOM as the Liaison for Science and Technology Policy developing special technical measures for military operations. His entire career spanned 40 years.
He is survived by the love of his life, Deborah Stegman of Sparta, TN; son, Eric and Pam Stegman and grandson, Jackson of Leesburg, VA; step-son, Brass and Erin Beck and granddaughters, Teagan and Elise of Omaha, NE; step-daughter, Kendra and Tom Wilhorn and grandson, Clayton and Carson of Vancleave, MS; brother- Ron and Deanne Stegman of Helena, MT; nieces, Leah and Bill Taylor of Moses Lake, WA and Audra and Kurt Brugenzer of Glasgow, MT.
