Obituary for Donald Lee Dodson
Donald Lee Dodson, 81 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021, at NHC Healthcare of Sparta.
He was born Saturday, May 13, 1939 in Sparta, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Monroe and Wilsie Davis Dodson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Monroe Dodson and Jackie Dodson.
Survivors include:
Wife- Sarah Dodson of Sparta, TN
Brother- Gary Dodson (Pat) of Sparta, TN
Daughters- Jacqueline Whittaker of Cookeville, TN; Donette England (Mike) of Jupiter, FL; and Tonya Dodson of Spencer, TN
Sons- Kenneth Wade Dodson (Tammy) of Sparta, TN and Russell Dodson (Angie) of Quebeck, TN
Grandchildren- Laci, Ayla, Brody, Memphis, Ashlyn, and Rylee
Aunt- Rae Lollar of Sparta, TN
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mr. Dodson worked as a brick mason for 61 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He never met a stranger. If you were his friend, you had a friend for life.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Joel Hillis and John Murphy officiating. The family will welcome friends from 1:30 PM until time of the service at the funeral home.
