Smithville, TN... Mr. Douglas Jay Blackford, age 66 of Smithville, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019, at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.
Born Friday, May 8, 1953 in Waterloo, Iowa, he was the son of the late Wallace Blackford and the late Eva Wenger Blackford.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
Surviving family members include the following :
brother - Dennis Blackford of Smithville
brother - Steven Blackford of Smithville
brother - John Blackford of River Falls, Wisconsin
sister - Susan Pullin of Smithville
In accordance to Mr. Blackford's wishes, his body will be cremated and the family will have a memorial service at a later date.
