Eddie Wayne Herman,71, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020 at home in Sparta, TN surrounded by his loving family. He grew up in Liberty, TN and attended DeKalb County High School. He attended Johnson Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in DeKalb County. He worked for Douglas Aircraft in Smithville, TN, Avco Aircraft in Nashville, TN and he did construction work.

Mr. Herman loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He had many friends and enjoyed talking to everyone. He enjoyed working on antique cars especially his 65 Mustang with his son John and grandson Nick. He spent time with all his grandchildren giving them the best advice he could but always with love and they loved him for it.

Mr. Herman was born on June 25, 1948 to the late Troy and Minnie Herman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Sister- Mary Certain of Liberty, TN and Grandson- Michael Ferm of Blair, NE.

Mr. Herman is survived by; Wife of 53 years- Linda (Luna) Herman.
Children- Daughter- Cindy Herman of Sparta, TN, Son- John Herman and Daughter-in-law- Beverly of Sparta, TN, Daughter- Cristy Herman of Sparta, TN.
Grandchildren- Carrie, Tony, Nick, Callie, Rory and Katherine.
Great-Grandchildren- Willow and Arlo.
Special Friend, who was like a brother- Bob Rice.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home from 4 - 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. The Funeral Service will be Sunday, June 7, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Elmore Judd and Jackie Miller officiating, burial will follow at Peeled Chestnut Cemetery.
