Obituary for Edward Dean Wilhite
Mr. Edward Dean Wilhite, age 63 of Sparta, Tennessee passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
He was born December 24, 1958 in Sparta, Tennessee. He was the son of Bobby Wilhite and Loretta Akins Wilhite.
Ed excelled at everything he did; graphic design, photography, writing, and advertising to name a few. Most notably, Ed served as a minister for several churches of Christ in the area. His proudest moments in life always revolved around his family, his wife, Angie and daughter, Mary Beth. Mary Beth and Drew blessed them with three beautiful grandchildren who were the light of his life.
Ed is survived by his wife of 43 years, Angie; his daughter, Mary Beth Haston and husband, Drew; three beautiful grandchildren, Annabelle, Hollis, and Hazel, who he affectionately renamed Pip, Slick, and Twinkles; parents, Bobby and Loretta Wilhite; sisters, Beth (Jim) Bell, Carol Sparks, and Darla Wilhite; sister-in-law, Brenda (Jack) Ware and brother-in-law, Bobby Mackie.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Jack Ware and Harvy Hearn officiating. Burial will follow in Lower Cherry Creek Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday evening, October 18, 2022 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
