Ethel Myrtle Niswander Duncan, age 94 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at NHC Healthcare of Sparta.

She was born in Thorsby, Alabama on May 1, 1928. She was married to the late Lloyd Eugene Duncan for 67 years. She was the daughter of the late James and Martha Alice Niswander. She was a long time member of the Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by in-laws, Joe and Mattie Bell Morgan Duncan; her brothers, James Niswander Jr. and Alton Niswander; and sisters, Clara Payne, Flora Lazarus, and Mary Sue Niswander.

Survivors include:

Sons- Joe Duncan (Charlotte) of Sparta, TN and Lamar Duncan (Sherry) of Dalton, GA

Grandchildren- Jordan Duncan (Yoko), Eli Duncan, Melissa Fields (Jamie), Jessica Marshall (James), and Carla Lamb (Joe)

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery with Jamie McCormack officiating.
