Garey Payton Howell, age 21, of Sparta, TN passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at his home. Payton was born April 26, 2000 in Sparta, TN to Garey (Shane) Howell and Aja Hyder.

Payton loved nothing more than getting together with friends and family spending time and playing cornhole.

Payton was preceded in death by his father, Garey Shane Howell, grandfather, Garey “Fat Cat” Howell, and grandfather, William Roger “Chipper” Hyder.

Surviving family include:

Mother- Aja Hyder of Sparta, TN

Sisters- Maddie Howell of Sparta, TN, McKynzie Howell of Sparta, TN and Raylee Hyder of Sparta, TN

Brother- Kash Hyder of Sparta, TN

Grandmothers- Kathy Howell of Sparta, TN and Nancy Hyder of Sparta, TN

Aunts and Uncles- Mark and Tonya Maxwell, Carl and Amanda Bullis, and Dale and Ariane Caskey

Several cousins also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Bullis officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time of the services at the funeral home.

Pallbearers to serve- Jason Maxwell, Colten Locke, Gage Caskey, Trevor Bray, Jacob Bouldin, Kelton Rochelle, Justin Collins and Joah Bullis.
