To know him was to love him. We knew him as a loving husband, who loved his wife of 62 years like no other. We called him Dad, Pops, Papa, Ernie, and “Russ”. He loved his family and always taught them to love the Lord as he did. He showed that love by the way he lived every day. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, teaching them life lessons and a little mischief that he was known for. He loved his garden and was known to be able to fix anything. He loved to play Rook and was one of the best enjoying every game, and didn’t care to “shoot the moon” ever.
