Obituary for James Franklin Rittenberry
James Franklin Rittenberry, age 76, of Sparta, TN passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN.
Mr. Rittenberry was born September 20, 1944 in Sparta, TN to the late Vester and Gladys Rittenberry.
He was presently a minister at Corinth Church of Christ, where he has been preaching for many years. He worked at Thomas Industry for 38 years. He loved his family, especially his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vester and Gladys Rittenberry, brothers, Lester Rittenberry, Henry Rittenberry, and Paul Rittenberry, and sister, Linda Coffman.
Survivors include:
Wife of 54 years- Jackie Jenkins Rittenberry
Daughter- Renae Stockton (Teddy)
Son- Shane Rittenberry (Sarah)
Grandchildren- Jonathan Michael Stockton, Jessica Lashey Stockton, Justin Clark Rittenberry, and Jacob Tyler Rittenberry
Sister- Colby Griffin
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Corinth Church of Christ with John Pippin officiating. Burial with full military honors by the Veterans’ Honor Guard will follow in Corinth Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until time of the service at the church,
Pallbearers to serve are Jonathan Stockton, Justin Rittenberry, Jacob Rittenberry, Chad Jenkins, Kenneth Whitaker, and Oliver Jenkins
