Obituary for Jeanine Horton (Templeton)
Laura Jeanine Horton 61, of Sparta, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at St Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, Tennessee after an extended illness.
She was born on August 19, 1961 in McMinnville Tennessee to the late Charles Leonard and Henrietta Templeton. She was the granddaughter of the late Collie and Hattie McBride and Charlie and Eron Templeton. She was also preceded in death by her former husband and father of her children, Danny Horton.
She is survived by two daughters, Hannah Horton (Justin Carr) and Hallee Horton (Allen Howser), three grandchildren, Kyler Carr, Kloe Horton and Emmie Lou Horton, She is also survived by two sisters, Patsy (Ron) Phifer and Pam (Kenny) Link, one brother, Keith Templeton, one sister she chose, Kim Hillis and one longtime life companion, Roger Griffin.
Four nieces, Amy Templeton, Olivia Link, Sarah Clark and Jessica Reinarts, and one nephew Austin Phifer also survive, along with numerous cousins and friends.
Jeanine was a Christian woman whose life goal was to serve the Lord and help anyone in need. She was a White County Judicial Commissioner for over 20 years.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday November 29, 2022 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Doug Goff and Houston Austin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home,
Interment will take place at a later date.
