Joan Iris Tollison, age 76 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at her home.

She was born December 20, 1946 in Sparta, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Dillard and Zettie Price Carter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Tollison; daughter-in-law, Pam Tollison; and great-granddaughter, Eliza Joy Tollison.

Son- Tracy Tollison of Sparta, TN

Grandchildren- Ethan and Hannah Tollison, Kayne and Haley Tollison, Jewel and Braden Tollison, and Chrystal Tollison

Several great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with James Collier and Rudy Oakes officiating. Burial will follow in Carter Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers to serve are Elijah Roberts, Jerry Roberts, David Roberts, Braden Brewington, Jacob Simmons, and Josh Simmons.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Carter Tollison Cemetery.
