Obituary for John Wesley Brandenburg
John Wesley Brandenburg, 60 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, Tennessee.
He was born Thursday, December 8, 1960 in Flint, Michigan. He was the son of the late Gaylord and Mary Anderson Brandenburg.
John was a great man who loved deeply and was loved deeply by his family and friends. He married the love of his life, his blushing bride, Donna Baby of 41 years, and what an adventure it was! He loved God, his country, and his family. John was a retired Navy Veteran of 18 years. He was a devoted Husband, Dad and Poppa, who will be greatly missed. Now he is walking with Jesus, his Lord and Savior. Until we meet again.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include:
Wife- Donna Marie Brandenburg of Sparta, TN
Sons- Joe Brandenburg (Becky) of NC and Bryan Brandenburg (Nicole) of Crossville, TN
Daughter- Marrisa Horton (Chad) of FL
Grandchildren- Shannon Horton, Chad Horton Jr., Logan Wesley Horton, Joseph Brandenburg Jr., Gavin Wesley Brandenburg, Thomas Wesley Brandenburg, Rylee Brandenburg, Jael Brandenburg, Sadie Brandenburg, Micaiah Brandenburg, and Josiah Brandenburg
Sister- Nada Matthai (Joel)
Brother- Karl Brandenburg (Cherie)
Mother-in-Law- Evelyn Altilio
Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors also survive.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Joe Brandenburg officiating. Full military honors will be presented by the Veterans' Honor Guard as well. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until time of the service at the funeral home.
