John Wayne Kirby, to some known as “Papa John” to trucker friends “Sundown”.
Born October 8, 1941 in Quebeck, TN. He passed from this world into his Heavenly Home the morning of September 28, 2020.

He was a loving Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Fill in Dad and Friend to many others.

He was preceded in death by his Father, James “Willard” Kirby and Mother, Jewell Jackson Kirby. Wife and school sweetheart, Betty Roberts Kirby.
He leaves behind;

Sons, James Kirby (Anya) and Johnny Kirby (Clarissa)
Daughter, Shelly Kirby Yates (Robert)
Granddaughters, Miranda Davis Randolph (Tristin), Savannah Yates Holman (William), and Amethyst Yates
Great-Grandchildren, Kolten, Axle, and John Randolph, Arabella, Mason, and Jaxson Holman
Grand pup, Boris Kirby.
Sister, Shirley Kirby Poston
He leaves behind his Second Wife, Norma Jackson Inlow Kirby.

Stepdaughter, Jeannie Inlow Kidd Welch and family

The Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Miranda Davis Randolph officiating, burial will follow at Lower Cherry Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 11 a.m. till the time of the service.
