John Daniel Nemeth, 84, of Sparta, Tennessee passed on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at his home.

Born September 4, 1938 in Merrillville, Indiana, John was the son of the late John Nemeth and the late Geneva (Burge) Nemeth. He was the loving husband of Leilani (Salmon) Nemeth for 59 wonderful years.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge where he became a 32nd degree Mason. John was a good man who enjoyed having fun with whomever he was around, and he will be greatly missed by all friends and family.

John was preceded in death by his parents John and Geneva Nemeth, as well as his Brother, Larry Nemeth.

He is survived by:

Wife - Leilani (Salmon) Nemeth.

Daughter - Michelle (Lance) Clark of Syracuse, Indiana.

Son - John (Rachel) Nemeth of Elkart, Indiana.

Grandchildren - Jake Clark, Sam Clark and Spencer Nemeth.

Brother - Dennis (Sherri) Nemeth of Sparta, Tennessee.

Sister - Sheryl Hammersley of Warsaw, Indiana.


John had chosen cremation, and his family honored his wishes. There are no services scheduled at this time.
