Joseph Gregory Blankenship, age 50 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away unexpectedly, on Friday, May 6, 2022, at his home.

He was born April 7, 1972 in Sparta, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Harold Stassen Blankenship and Bonnie Faye Fox.

Joe proudly served his country as a United States Air Force Veteran.

Joe is preceded in death by his father, Harold Stassen Blankenship Sr. and his brother, Harold Stassen Blankenship Jr.

Survivors include:

Daughter- Bonnie Jean Blankenship of Sparta, TN

Son- David Harold Blankenship of Sparta, TN

Mother- Bonnie Faye Fox of Sparta, TN

Sister- Kim Watts (Greg) of Sparta, TN

Brother- Steven Blankenship (Trish) of Sparta, TN

Nephews- Scott Blankenship, Seth Blankenship and Shane Blankenship, all of Sparta, TN

Nieces- Stephanie Blankenship and Olivia Watts, both of Sparta, TN

Many aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Doug Benningfield officiating. The family will welcome friends on Thursday from 10:30 AM until time of the service at the funeral home.
