Joshua Austin Rowan, age 22, formerly of Sparta, TN passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020 at his home in Cookeville, TN.
Joshua was born on December 23, 1997 in Charleston, West Virginia. He was a remarkable athlete. He played basketball, football, baseball, track, and soccer for White County High School.
Survivors include:
Parents- Robert and Ruth Rowan of Sparta
Siblings- Cody Rowan, Alyssa Belderas, Damon Brown, Dorian Brown, and Renee Brown.
Special Friend- Hannah Gillin
Aunts- Frances Brown, Cherrie Brown, Tina Lacey (Damon)
Uncle- Stewart Mitchell
Great- Uncle- Bernard Bannister
Great-Aunt- Sarah Bannister
Many cousins also survive.
Josh was loved by many friends, fellow students, and athletes.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Glen Leftwich officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 14, 2020 from 11:00 AM until time of the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers to serve are: Keshion Conaway, Kendrick Leftwich, Dakota Kubeca, Spencer Young, Trey Brewington, Chris Richmond, and Kevin Wright
Flower Girls to serve are: Deserea Caraway, Izabella Henson, Tia Leftwich, Alexis Rutledge, Keesha Williams, and Mackendra Tubbs.
