Obituary for Judy Nell Murray
Judy Nell Murray, age 73 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, peacefully at her home.
She was born June 18, 1949 in Springfield, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of the late Delmar Lee Sharp and Eva Janelle Creek Sharp.
Judy loved the Lord, and she loved listening to her brother-in-law, Jerry Vitatoe, preach. Judy loved going to the "Barn" and line dancing with her friends. Judy was a hard worker, she was independent, and she believed in making her own money. Judy loved shopping and finding good deals. She loved her family and enjoyed spoiling the kids in the family.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vince (JR) Murray (four fingers); son, Tony Murray; brothers, Gary Sharp and Stevie Sharp; nephew, James Sharp; and life long best friend, Rita Adams.
Survivors include:

Sister- Lisa (Lawrence) Vitatoe of Clintwood, VA
Nieces- Jolene (Douglas) Boyd of Haysi, VA; Sherry Sharp and Eva Goike of Sparta, TN; and Latasha (Steven) Stump of Haysi, VA
Nephews- Larry (Bonechia) Vitatoe of Haysi, VA; Gary Lee Sharp (Trinity), MI; and Steven (Brandy) Vitatoe of Haysi, VA

Judy had several extended family by love, even if they weren't't blood.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Kyle Goff officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
