June Elizabeth Johnson Oaks,84, of Sparta, TN passed away Tuesday October 8, 2019 in Sparta, TN. She was born November 28, 1934 to the late James and Ruth Kirk Johnson in Union City, TN. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Sparta, Pastor Curtis Guest. June Loved the LORD and her family. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and watching her favorite bird, the hummingbird. She was a great cook; she cooked every Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner until she turned 80. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by; Brother- John Raymond Johnson, and Sister Mary Corum.

Survivors include; Husband- Jim Oaks of Sparta, TN

Sisters- Carolyn Johnson Raines of Belleville, Michigan and Betty Johnson Vowell of South Fulton, TN.

Children- Patricia Dale of Hendersonville, TN, William Dale (Alicia) of Fairfield Glade, TN, Donna Gibson of Sparta, TN, and James (Jim) Oaks (Brenda) of Sparta, TN.

7 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, 6 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 2 pm at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Curtis Guest officiating, Burial will follow at Frasier and Gracey Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 11 am - 2 pm at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations to be made to Faith Baptist Church of Sparta, TN building fund.
