Obituary for Kim Agatha Mitchell

Kim Agatha Mitchell passed from this life on Saturday, May 11, 2019. She was a beloved wife, selfless mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She devoted her life to caring for and supporting her family. She was a devout member of the Catholic Church and attended St. Andrew Catholic Church in Sparta. Her love of her family and God was a constant throughout her life.

Kim was born in South Korea and moved to Arkansas where she attended nursing school. She met and married her husband, Dana E. Mitchell, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Always the supportive military wife, she travelled with her husband during his service. They were blessed with two sons, Jim and John, during this time. After retirement from the military, the family settled in Deltona, Florida where she continued to raise her sons, support her husband, and form many lifelong friendships. Later in life she moved to Tennessee with her husband and continued her love and support of her family and faithfulness to the Catholic Church.

Survivors include:

Husband: Dana E. Mitchell

Sons and Daughters-in-Law: Jim and Tonya Mitchell and John and Heather Mitchell

Granddaughters: Jenna Anderson, Gillian Mitchell, and Alexa Mitchell

Grandsons: Daniel Mitchell and Ethan Hyder

Great-Granddaughter: Cameron Anderson

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and grandson, Cameron Mitchell.

Kim and the family had chosen cremation and a private ceremony.
