Lewis Ray Jenkins, age 72 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Lewis was born Wednesday, December 13, 1950 in Sparta, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Hollis Jenkins and the late Leron Oliver Jenkins.

He served in the US Army in Germany. Worked as an over the road truck driver for over 40 years and was a member of the Knights Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Lewis is survived by his:

Daughter - Maleigha Greene and husband Mickey of Sparta

Son - Chad Jenkins of Baxter

Grandchildren - Michaela Haney and husband Austin and Mackenzie Price and husband Cody of Sparta

Great Grandchildren - Addalynn Haney and Anika Haney of Sparta

Special Friend - Mary Dye of Cookeville

Mother of his children - Sonja Jenkins

Sisters - Nellie Bumbalough and husband Buddy of Sparta and Jackie Rittenberry of Sparta

Brother - Von Jenkins of Powder Springs GA

Many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbours also survive.

In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by his sister Darlene Adcock, brother-in-law James Rittenberry and sister-in-law Tiffany Jenkins.

A Funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Thursday at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Sparta, TN.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home.
