Lorene A. Sherrell, 96 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Life Care Center of Sparta.

She was born Wednesday, November 19, 1924 in Baxter, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late S.K. and Charity Carter Dobbs. She loved gardening and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed working with the kids at her daycare.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oakley Sherrell and her son, Jerry Sherrell

Survivors include:

Son- Johnny Sherrell (Laura) of Cookeville, TN

Granchildren- Angela Dawn Barden, Julie Erica Allen, Mark Sherrell, Susan Jarrell, Skyler Martin, Jeffrey Sherrell, and Christopher Sherrell

Great-Grandchilden- Erika Suzanne Allen, Jon Michael Allen, and Kelsey Noel Barden

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with James Dukes officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until time of the service at the funeral home.
