Obituary for Lori Ann Zimmerman (Horsley)
Lori Zimmerman, age 61 of Sparta, Tennessee passed from this life on Friday, January 13, 2023, at her home in Sparta. She was born July 18, 1961, in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Alford and Nancy Horsley. Lori married the love of her life, George Zimmerman,Jr., on October 29, 2006, in Punta Gorda, FL. They retired to the Big Bottom community of Sparta in 2011.
Lori was a lover of animals, especially all of her "fur" babies. She enjoyed collecting cow print items. She also enjoyed her career as a CNA while living in Ohio. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers- Alfred Horsley, Jr. and Donald Horsley.
Surviving family members include:
Husband- George Zimmerman, Jr.
Step-Children- Jessi Kamer, Samantha Zimmerman both of Florida, and George Zimmerman, III of Sparta.
Grandchildren- Serenity Zimmerman of Florida, Norah Zimmerman, and Arlo Zimmerman, both of Sparta.
Brother- Robert Horsley of Algood, TN
Aunts- Helen Roberts of Kentucky, and Jenny Bethel of Ohio
Uncles- Ted Horsley, and Ben Powell both of Utah.
Cousins- Kim Waldridge (David) of Kentucky, and many others.
Niece- Amy Simpson (Clifford), and children of Algood, TN
Nephews- Allen Horsley of Sparta, Chad Horsley (Janie), Donnie Horsley (Mellisa), and Arron Horsley, all of Ohio.
Special Friends- Cathy, Debbie, Ed, Memom, and Jodi.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Fraser's Chapel United Methodist Church on Big Bottom Rd, Sparta, Tennessee officiated by Pastor Al Schieber. A reception will immediately follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contribution can be made to the White County Animal Shelter.
