Obituary for Melvin Eugene Goggins
Melvin Eugene Goggins, age 76 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at his home.
He was born July 31, 1946 in New Albany, Mississippi. He was the son of the late Orvil and Lillian Wise Goggins. He served in the United States Air Force from 1966 until 1970.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Winfred Goggins, Janie Counts, Shirley West, and Danny Goggins.
Survivors include:
Wife- Sherry Hickey of Sparta, TN
Daughter- Laurie Classen (Darran) of Joplin, MO
Son- Ryan Hickey (Deanna) of North Aurora, IL
Grandchildren- Brittany Brunson, Payton Newman, Miguel Newman, Mateo Hickey, and Aidan Hickey
Sisters- Linda Bishop, Barbara Murray, and Judi Kellogg
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 4, 2022, at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Sparta, TN. The family will welcome friends on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of the service at the church.
