Richard Lee Ford, age 75 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at his home.

He was born March 29, 1947 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Raymond Doyle Ford and the late Margaret Ann Kirkland Ford. He was a Pastor for many years at several congregations. He also founded Volunteer Christian Academy in 1973 in Sparta, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Wife- Mary Frances Ford of Sparta, TN

Sons- Andy Ford of Sparta, TN and Adam Ford (Candice) of Sparta, TN

Daughter- Becky Smith (Calvin) of Columbus, GA

Grandchildren- Brandon Shockley, Austin Ford, Alex Ford, Abigail Ford, Hunter Nolan, Tanner Nolan, Bradley Smith, Lena Smith and Alexa Smith

Several Great-Grandchildren

Brother- Charles Ford (May) of Sparta, TN

Sisters- Janice Fowler of Knoxville, TN and Linda Huskey of Knoxville, TN

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church in Sparta with Laurel Grimes officiating.
