Richard Frederick Shearer, 76, of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Overton County Nursing Home in Livingston, Tennessee.
Born Wednesday, November 6, 1946 in Dunsmuir, California, he was the son of the late Richard Shearer and the late Velda Smith Shearer.
Richard worked for The Union Pacific R.R. for over 30 years, and served in the Vietnam War as a member of the US Navy.
He was a very generous man and loved to help others. He attended Breakthrough Church in Cookeville, Tennessee.
Surviving family members include:
Wife - Mary (Pankey) Shearer of Sparta
Daughter - Crystal Nichols (Kyle) of California
Son - Jason Shearer (Shondell) of Sparta
Grandchildren - Tyler, Lacey, Jeff and McKenna
Two Great Grandsons
Sisters - Sandra and Valerie of California
