Funeral services for Mr. Sterling Rose, age 87, of Pleasant Hill, TN,
will be held at 2pm on Thursday, March 7, 2019, in the chapel of Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Rudy Oakes officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery with military rites by the Veteran's Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Thursday prior to the service from 12 noon until 2pm.

Mr. Rose passed from this life on Monday, March 4, 2019, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville. Born August 6, 1931 in Sparta, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Wesley Rose and the late Elizabeth Welch Rose. Mr. Rose was retired from the United States Air Force with 20 years of service and also retired from the United States Postal Service with 20 years of service. He attended First Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving family members include the following:
wife - Gladys Flatt Rose of Pleasant Hill, TN
two daughters - Melissa Broom of Cohutta, GA
Renee Dunsmore and Paul of Sparta
grandchildren - Bryan Dunsmore, Andy Dunsmore, Stefanie Kosta,
Brad Broom and Garren Broom
great grandchildren - Anna Rose Dunsmore, David Kosta and Abbygail

In addition to his parents, Mr Rose was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Key; two brothers, Carl Rose and David Rose; son-in-law, Stephen Broom.
