Susan Irene Thornby, 81 of Berkley, MI, passed away April 11, 2021 at Life Care of Sparta.
Ms. Thornby was born February 28, 1940 in Marine City, MI to the late Al and Betty Miller. She was a graduate of Holy Cross High School. She was a long time employee of Berkley School District. She was a devout Catholic and animal lover.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Leigh Spencer McFern and Bernard (BT) Thornby and son, Brian Leigh McFern.
Survivors include:
Sister- Cindy (ED) Golda of Rochester, MI
Sons- Mark (Kathy) McFern of Sparta, TN and David (Carol) McFern of Peoria, AZ
Grandchildren- April (Matt) McFern, Spencer (Emily) McFern, Nicole McFern, Adam (Lucy) McFern, Susy McFern, Lauren McFern, and Lindsay McFern
Great-Grandchildren- Randy, Liam, and Max
Niece- Sarah (Evan) Bockhausin
Nephew- Chad (Samantha) Golda
