Thomas Bedford Steward, 79, of Sparta, TN passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021 in Sparta, TN. Mr. Steward was born on November 14, 1941 to the late George and Hattie Mae Steward in Gainesboro, TN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: Daughter, Tonia Holman, Brothers, James Steward, Kenneth Steward, and Clyde Steward. Sisters, Glendola Nivens, Juanita Garrett, Frances Davis, and Ruby Warden.

Surviving family include: Daughter, Ramona E. Hunter (James) of Sparta, TN
Son, Dewayne Steward (Janet) of Madison, NC
Grandchildren, Krista, Tiara, Trent, Austin, and Nick.
9 Great-Grandchildren
Sisters, Charlotte Steward of Sparta, TN and Ann Cory of Ft. Wayne, IN
Brother, Charles Steward (Zelma)
Brother-in-law, Ronald Garrett
Sister-in-law, Edith Steward
Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be Friday, May 28, 2021 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home at 1 PM with Bro. Nick Holman officiating, burial will follow at Old Bon Air Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 28, 2021 at the funeral home from 11 am till the time of service.

I am so sorry for your loss. My Daddy and Mr. Steward called each other each and every day at the same time every morning and every night to check on each other. My Daddy has lost a great friend and he will be greatly missed. We will be praying for comfort during this difficult time.
