Obituary for Tim Jones
Tim Jones, age 66 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 7, 1956 in Wartburg, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Hershel Jones and the late Beulah Pennington Jones. He worked for the Department of Corrections in Pikeville, TN for over 20 years. He also loved football and coached many kids. He especially loved his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jones, sisters, Jeanette England and Linda Rollins and brothers, Jim Jones and Doug Jones.
Survivors include:
Son- Kevin Jones (Augusta) of Sparta, TN
Grandchildren- Fern Jones and Orry Jones
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 with Eric Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until time of the service at the funeral home.
