William Joseph "Joey" Thompson, 54 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at his home.

He was born Friday, January 27, 1966 in Xenia, Ohio. He was the son of Hasten Thompson and Barbara Bryant Lambert. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He also loved nascar, especially Richard Petty.

Daughter- Ashlee Nicole Thompson of Sparta, TN

Mother- Barbara Lambert (Don) of Sparta, TN

Father- Hasten Charles "Bo" Thompson (Judy) of Sparta, TN

Brother- Charles Wayne Thompson (Sharlotte) of Panama City, FL

Sister- Belinda Mae Odom (David) of Sparta, TN

Nieces- Jessica Paige Powell (Myles) and Bailey Jordan Odom

Nephews- Ryan Wayne Thompson (Kim) and Kyler Sabastian Thompson

Great-Niece- Ensley Rhae Thompson

Great-Nephew- Wells Amstel Thompson

Special People in Joey's Life- Heather Johnson and Karleigh Atnip

Lifelong Friend- Ronnie Taylor

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Ronnie Taylor and Christopher Wiles officiating. Burial will follow in Stringtown Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until time of the service at the funeral home.

Family will serve as pallbearers.
