After high school-at some point-Nelson came to Nashville to go to Nashville Auto/Diesel college(NADC). Our family lived in Hendersonville-about 20 minutes north of Nashville-and Nelson came to visit us some while he was attending NADC. We had not grown up being close to him & the rest of his brothers, but we were cousins. We enjoyed getting to know Nelson better through those visits. I met Virginia at a Lewis reunion several years back & had only been to a few reunions since that time. I could tell just by being around them that they loved each other very much. I send my condolences to Virginia & the rest of the family. I am so thankful to know that Nelson is with the Lord! We’ve been praying for him through his illness, but will continue to pray for the family-especially Virginia. Sending love & prayers. A cousin-Carlotta Lee

I grew up with Nelson, we went to Church and school together. We were always close friends and could always laugh and cut up. Although I hadn’t seen him much in a while I still feel as tho he were a brother. I will miss him always and cherish our memories. My thoughts and prayers go out to Virginia and family and may God be with you all.
