Obituary for William Nelson Lewis
William Nelson Lewis, 68 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021, at his home.
He was born Wednesday, April 2, 1952 in Crossville, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Homer and Dorothy Watley Lewis.
He enjoyed motorcycle riding, camping, jeeping, farming, raising horses and cattle, but mostly, spending time with his family. He loved the Lord.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Little Will, and brothers, Homer Sidney Lewis Jr., Basil Lewis, and Garry Lewis.
Survivors include:
Wife- Virginia Briggs Lewis of Sparta, TN
Daughter- Kim Lewis Morgan (Matt) of Crossville, TN
Son- Tim Swoape (Rob) of New York, NY
Grandson- Lyric Morgan
Brothers- Bethel Lewis (Ginger) of Rock Island, TN and Tim Lewis (Teresa) of Crossville, TN
Many nieces, nephews, and other family members, friends, and church family at BonDeCroft Baptist Church also survive.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Matt McClain and Jason Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Eastland Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until time of the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers to serve are Butch Lewis, Geoffrey Lewis, Tommy Kirby, Steve Rollins, Matt Morgan, Dwane Scott, and Eddie Pack.
Lyric Morgan will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.
