Wilma Gearldeane "Deane" Mills, age 83 of Sparta, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at her home.
Deane was born Monday, October 2, 1939 in Sparta, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Jeff Spears and the late Clara Sherrell Spears.
Deane was a member of the Pistole Baptist Church. She worked at the Circuit Court Clerks office for many years.
In addition to her parents, Deane was preceded in death by her husband of more than 59 years Harold Burtis Mills, son Harold Burtis "Burt" Mills Jr. a brother Bobby Spears and a sister Treva Cunningham.
Deane is survived by her:
3 daughters; Kimberley Mills of Sparta, Karen Richards and husband Randy of Cookeville, TN. and Lorrie Mills and Cindy Mahaffey of Greeneville.
5 grandchildren; Dane Holland, Bryan Holland, Crystal and Mario Clemente, Amanda Richards and Drew and Kayla Richards
7 great grandchildren; Izaiah Holland, Keely Holland, Judah Clemente, Marc Clemente, Stella Richardson, Lily Beckham, and Emma Beckham.
special great grandchildren: Kayden Elliot and MaKayla Howard
2 nieces; Deloris Wilkey and Connie Choate.
other family members and friends also survive.
A Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with the Clint Walker and Harlan Simmons officiating. Interment will be in Saylors Cemetery, Sparta, TN.
