Obituary

Clayta Estelle Spicciati, age 78, of Sparta, passed away Friday, March 22, 2021. Clayta was born October 4, 1942 to the late Henry Clay and Estelle Jones Wilson in the Old Zion Community of White County.

A loving wife and Mother, Clayta was also a dedicated Nurse graduating from Baptist School of Nursing in 1963. Her nursing career spanned 50 years working in Milwaukee and later in Sparta. Clayta’s generous nature was shared with many dear friends through the years and neighbors in need could always depend on her to be available for them.

An outdoor person by nature, she loved flowers, gardening, and camping. Clayta was an avid reader with many hobbies including crocheting, sewing and crafting.

Clayta is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joe K. Wilson.

Those left to cherish her memory are husband, Carlo Joseph (Chuck) Spicciati, daughter, Pamela Jo Spicciati of Sparta; and son Joseph Clay (Sandy) Spicciati of Omaha, Nebraska.

Grandchildren: Thomas Carlo (Caitlin) Spicciati of San Antonio, Texas; Samantha Jo Spicciati of Minot, North Dakota.

Great Grandchildren: Quinten E.Z. Spicciati and Casen Carlo Spicciati.

Brothers: H.C. Wilson (Twila) of Cookeville; Ronnie Wilson (Connie) of Sparta; Guy Wilson (Brenda) of Sparta.

Sister: Jane Wilson-Mitchell (Almont) of Whiteville, Tennessee

A host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Pinelawn Cemetery.

I am so sorry to hear this!! The only memories I have are the stories my mom (Judy Stockton Dover) told me of them growing up together and the pictures my mom had of her. The first time I met her was at my moms funeral. She was a sweet lady and I know how much you will miss her.

Clayta you will be missed so much. Judy Stockton-Joyce Smith an I were a four fun love girls. We were such good friends. When you went to Nashville to Baptist to be a nurse. I was already there. I was a nurses aid and would get to see you from time to time in the hospital, You got done with school and went north and I did to (Detroit) our paths crossed again when you moved back to Sparta. God Bless your family you will be missed so much. You were a wonderful friend til we meet again. Carol Smith Myers
